Here is the letter I sent, with the address... Attention, Fans! We hear from Peter Lefcourt that Disney has put off the release of the Beggars & Choosers Season One DVD set. This was supposed to be released in January 2006, but Disney has indefinitely put on the brakes. The production is already done, we just need to encourage Disney to release it. So please start sending letters to let them know you were waiting to buy it. Their address is: Buena Vista Home Video, 3900 W. Alameda, Burbank, CA 91505. Be polite, but let 'em know you want to own this one. 20 March 2006 Hello, I am writing as I found out that Beggars and Choosers, although ready, was not going to be released on DVD. The reason I read was sluggish sales of series already on DVD. If this is true, then I for one am not surprised. Most of the new releases are of TV series that are still being shown, either original new episodes or in syndication. Why buy a DVD if the product is still on TV? I know a few will, but most people have not had a chance to miss the series and seriously think about buying it yet. I have been waiting for Beggars and Choosers for several years now. It was one of my favorites on Showtime. I was excited when the DVD released date was announced and disappointed that I could not find it for sale. I have about 100 series in my list on Tvshowsondvd.com. Others include "MDs", "Push, Nevada", "Glory Days", "Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane", "Teen Angel", "You Wish"(Now that brings back memories of the Magic Ball 4 parter), and "Maybe This Time". Most of these will never be on TV again. Most were cancelled far too soon. I know most will never be on dvd, which is why I was excited for Beggars and Choosers. I am hopeful. I hope you will reconsider the release. I hope you will see there is a market for older series and its different than releasing current series. Thank you,
